Product description
<p>Building on the skills learned in Composition I, students will apply these skills to a variety of genres in this Composition II self-paced course. They will begin learning about common ways they'll be expected to communicate in the world today, starting with writing a blog and then creating a slideshow. After learning how to develop their style in informal writing, they will learn how to adjust this style for academic writing. Students will learn how to craft a persuasive essay that supports a thesis statement. These skills will serve as a foundation for the research paper through which they will learn how to integrate research effectively and ethically. At the end of the year, students will interact with model examples of various genres from personal essays to playwriting. Students will be trained to critique their own work. </p><br><p>Minimum age of 13 on the first day of class. Successful completion of VSA Composition I or comparable course strongly encouraged.</p>
