Product description
Students are introduced them to the structure of storytelling and artistic examples of language, developing their aesthetic sense and moral imagination. Students solidify their understanding of the written and spoken word through narration, copy work, and dictation exercises of sentences and work to write in complete sentences. Students will know what a complete sentence is, what the types of sentences are, and the proper construction of sentences (including punctuation). Students will also work on retelling stories and ideas through narration for detail and narration for summary. Finally, they also foray into the longer composition by writing paragraphs in the last quarter of the year.

This rigorous 2nd Grade curriculum is designed to be both comprehensive and flexible. Each subject is delivered through instructional videos and self-paced, asynchronous assignments, allowing students to progress at a pace that suits their individual learning style. Parents or guardians will assist scholars in completing assignments sequentially, ensuring mastery of each concept before moving forward. The course offers flexibility for families while maintaining high educational standards, promoting both independent learning and guided support where needed.
