Services Provided Trauma Sk8 Academy offers individual and group skateboarding instruction as structured physical education and specialized after-school programming and Summer Educational Programs. Core offerings include: Small-group lessons (max 8 students) focused on progressive skate skills (pushing, carving, pumping, drop-ins, kickturns, ollies). Daily elements include mindfulness warm-ups, emotional check-ins, grounding exercises, reflection circles, and “win of the day” celebrations. Private 1-on-1 sessions and protective gear rental available as eligible instructional materials. Quarterly progress reports tracking motor skills, emotional regulation, and resilience. The program is designed to meet Florida B.E.S.T. Physical Education standards while providing emotional-regulation support eligible under both FES-EO and FES-UA scholarships. Populations Served Primarily K–12 youth (ages 6–18), with a focus on: Students experiencing trauma, anxiety, sensory challenges, or emotional/behavioral needs (strong fit for FES-Unique Abilities). Low-income families eligible for Family Empowerment Scholarships. Any student seeking a safe, regulated environment to build gross motor skills, confidence, and social responsibility through skateboarding. In short: Trauma Sk8 Academy uses skateboarding as a therapeutic movement tool to help kids who’ve had a rough go feel stronger, calmer, and more capable—one session at a time. 🛹💜
