Wanderstudy
Provider description
I’m Dana Brown, M.A., and I created Wanderstudy to offer thoughtful, personalized academic coaching and tutoring for students in grades 9–12, including homeschool, traditional school, and dual enrollment students. My goal is to help learners become more confident, curious, capable, and prepared for college, career, and adult life. With more than 15 years of experience teaching and supporting students at the community college and university levels, I specialize in the humanities, including English composition, literature, history, language arts, social science, reading comprehension, research, writing, and critical thinking. Sessions are student-centered and practical. I help students break assignments into manageable steps, strengthen organization, improve written communication, understand course expectations, and build confidence as independent learners. I also offer AI literacy and career readiness support. Students learn how to use tools like ChatGPT responsibly, evaluate information, fact-check responses, avoid plagiarism, and use AI as a learning tool rather than a shortcut. Career readiness sessions may include goal setting, resume development, interview preparation, professional communication, and identifying strengths and transferable skills.
