Wickman’s Surf School offers a dynamic surf program designed for Florida homeschool students — combining physical education, marine science, and wellness. Students learn to surf while exploring wave dynamics, tides, ocean safety, and marine biology, all through hands-on, ocean-based learning. More than just a sport, surfing is therapeutic — promoting mental clarity, stress relief, and emotional balance through time in the ocean and sun. It also builds confidence, focus, endurance, strength, balance, and the ability to stay calm under pressure — making it excellent cross-training for other sports and life. For students who advance and show interest, we also offer coaching for surf competitions and can help them take the next step in their surfing journey. Approved homeschool funding can be used not only for lessons, but also toward surf equipment. Our program is the perfect blend of education, movement, and personal growth — all in the natural classroom of the sea.
