Well Rooted Foundations offers nature-based educational enrichment for homeschool students ages 7–12. Led by an instructor with a Bachelor of Science in Alternative Medicine, the program provides hands-on learning experiences that integrate environmental science, gardening, herbal studies, and sustainable living. Students participate in experiential outdoor learning activities such as growing medicinal herbs, mushroom cultivation, composting, hydroponics, and learning about pollinators and regenerative ecosystems. Lessons focus on helping children understand natural systems, food production, soil health, and the basics of plant-based remedies in an age-appropriate and educational way. Classes emphasize practical life skills, environmental stewardship, and curiosity-driven learning. Students gain experience with gardening, harvesting, plant identification, and understanding how ecosystems work together. The learning environment also includes exposure to pollinators and small livestock on the property, including bees, chickens, and ducks, helping students see the full cycle of sustainable food systems and nature-based agriculture. Well Rooted Foundations is designed to support homeschool families seeking meaningful, hands-on science enrichment and outdoor education that fosters confidence, responsibility, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
