Joy Wolfe
Provider description
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, substitute teach (K-6) for Citrus and Marion County, taught English for two years in Korea, 1.5 years with VIPKids on-line, and have taught Yoga for 35 years. I love teaching kids in a calm, fun, and encouraging environment that fires up their love of learning. This includes using their creative right brain hemisphere and moving their bodies. If a child doesn't understand something, it is the teacher's responsibility to figure the best way to reach them. We all learn differently and that needs to be honored whether someone is 6 years old or 50 years old. My tutoring extends to reading, writing, and math; along with mini workshops in yoga where the students will learn breathing and visualization techniques to bring down anxiety, enhance focus, and induce and overall sense of well-being. Yoga postures, reading aloud a children's yoga book, art projects (i.e. breathing bracelet, meditation jar), and basic yoga poses will be learned. I am looking forward to meeting and working with you and your little one. Have a beautiful day!
