Where Creativity Shines and Hearts Grow! Welcome to Sunny Day Scholars! Sunny Day Scholars is a creative learning program for kids ages 8 and up, designed to spark imagination, confidence, and support our future innovators. Led by Miss Elizabeth Giles- a certified teacher and local artist with over 10 years of experience, we blend art and language arts into an inspiring space where students can discover what it means to be creators. Our motto: We are ROOTED in LOVE! ✍️ Creative Writing & Storytelling Students will: Learn the craft of poetry and storytelling Practice reading comprehension, deep thinking, and making connections Explore how to bring words to life and create their own original stories Gain confidence in sharing ideas and using their unique voice Receive an introduction to publishing basics, using Canva and Google Workspace to create and design their own books 🎨 Art & Illustration Students will: Learn form, technique, and creative expression Explore different media to make illustrations come to life Practice “releasing and letting art flow” in a supportive, fun environment Use Canva to create digital art projects that complement their writing 🔬 Science (Coming Soon!) Future classes will focus on beginner biology, life cycles, and the beauty of creation — teaching kids how plants grow, how to care for animals, and how to see the world as young scientists and caretakers.
