Hello! I am Keara Holmes, a certified teacher and Reading Specialist with a Master’s in Special Education from Auburn University. I founded Holmes Tutoring to serve homeschooling families and students with specific learning disabilities who need a structured, evidence-based approach to literacy. Utilizing the Science of Reading and Direct Instruction methodology, I move beyond "guessing games" to explicitly teach phonics and decoding skills that ensure mastery. As a former Direct Instruction Consultant, I offer expert, virtual small-group intervention designed to close achievement gaps and help students who struggle to "crack the code" become confident, capable readers.
