The study of History and Geography embraces many topics through the Core Knowledge Sequence. Geographic topics that are covered in 2nd grade include a spatial sense of the world, a sense of the interaction between humans and their environment, an understanding of the relationship between places and their cultures, and an awareness of the characteristics of specific regions and cultures at specific points in history.<br><br>This rigorous 2nd Grade curriculum is designed to be both comprehensive and flexible. Each subject is delivered through instructional videos and self-paced, asynchronous assignments, allowing students to progress at a pace that suits their individual learning style. Parents or guardians will assist scholars in completing assignments sequentially, ensuring mastery of each concept before moving forward. The course offers flexibility for families while maintaining high educational standards, promoting both independent learning and guided support where needed.
