<p><b>Chinese 2</b></p> <p>Chinese 2 enables students to further develop the communicative skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing of Mandarin Chinese at a more advanced level. Students are immersed in Chinese culture as virtual exchange students in China, and discover even more deeply how language is a tool God has blessed us with to deepen relationships no matter where we go. Virtual excursions from one Chinese city to another expand students? vocabulary, helping them learn to interact with others and to use appropriate terms to communicate in various everyday situations.</p> <p><i>Additional required equipment includes audio/video recording device (video camera or webcam), and required software is screen-capture software or camera (to record conversation, simple audio/video recording and editing software). This course is considered a full-year course. If you have any questions about your student?s readiness to take this course, please enroll your student in the Chinese 2 placement test. This will provide you with accurate placement information so you can request the appropriate level of course for your student?s success. Recommended grade levels: 10th-11th-12th grade.</i></p>
