Product description

Product Overview

A reed is the thin piece of natural cane that clips onto the mouthpiece of a Bb clarinet and vibrates to create the instrument's sound. Reeds will gradually wear out while you play so they are a regular essential for every student. These are Vandoren Traditional reeds — the classic, professional-quality "blue box" reeds that are the most widely played in the world and a long-time favorite of teachers for their warm, clear, responsive tone.

NOTE: This box of ten reeds is strength 2.5, a popular middle thickness/hardness that many students move to as they build control and a fuller tone. If you're unsure which strength to buy, it's always best to follow the strength your child's band director or private teacher recommends.
