<p>This fully online, self-paced Viola course introduces students in grades 6-12 to the foundational skills of viola performance. Through guided instruction and regular practice, students learn proper posture, bowing techniques, finger placement, rhythm, and introductory music reading skills.</p><p>Students practice scales, rhythmic exercises, and beginning-level melodies while developing technical skills and musical confidence. The course emphasizes proper playing technique, musical understanding, and the development of effective practice habits.</p><p>By the end of the course, students will be able to perform beginning-level viola pieces and demonstrate an understanding of the foundational techniques needed for continued study.</p><p>Parent Note: Students may benefit from assistance with posture, tuning, and bowing technique. Encouragement and support during practice sessions can help reinforce proper habits and build confidence.</p><p>This is our Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher Support, which includes an official transcript and earned credit.
