<p>We have a lot of unwritten expectations about social norms within our society, and it can be difficult for students on the spectrum to understand them all. These interactive card games are a fun way to teach students important social rules that are never taught but are necessary to understand and learn. Each game in this series will help your students learn 40 common hidden rules to help develop their social competence. </p> <p>The rules of this game are simple and easy to grasp, similar to UNO or Crazy Eights. To play each player begins with seven cards. Then the remaining cards are used to form draw and discard piles. To progress, players must match cards by color or number. If the card they draw is a Hidden Rules Card, the player must read the social question aloud and answer the prompt. If a player has no matching cards, they must draw from the draw pile. The first player to discard all their cards is the winner!</p> <p>Hidden rules cards clearly explain one hidden rule that students on the spectrum will be able to understand. The card set includes 8 additional blank cards so that you can add specific skills that you would like to target. Each game is geared for students ages 6-12. Each game includes 98 cards that teach 40 hidden rules.</p> <p>This set includes the original Hidden Rules game and Hidden Rules with friends, in the classroom, and in the community. </p>
