Product description
NFC Academy’s Homeschool Advantage Program for high school provides a fully accredited, college-preparatory online education for students in grades 9–12. All courses are approved by the NCAA, supporting both academic preparation and eligibility for student-athletes. The information below represents a sample schedule for ninth grade, giving families an idea of how a first-year high school plan may look within the program. Students take six courses each year to stay on track for graduation. Courses commonly selected for ninth grade include New Testament Survey, English I, Algebra I, Earth Science, Physical Education/Health, Speech, Business Computer, and Foundations for Living. These are suggested starting options, and students may adjust their schedule when no prerequisite is required. This flexibility allows each student to tailor coursework based on middle-school credits earned or individual academic goals. All courses in this asynchronous program are supported and graded by NFC Academy teachers, providing expert academic oversight while allowing families the flexibility to complete schoolwork on their own schedule. The Homeschool Advantage Program offers a strong accredited pathway for high school success with the added confidence of NCAA-approved coursework. The Academy High School Specialist will develop the student’s Path to Graduation, which is sent to the home for review and approval. This Path to Graduation is updated annually to ensure the student remains on track to earn all required credits for graduation. The final selection of courses for ninth grade will be approved by both the student and parent once the Path to Graduation is completed, ensuring the student is on schedule to meet all required graduation credits.
