Product description

The English word vocation comes from the Latin vocatio. It simply means calling.

The 18 essays collected here on various vocations were first published in the last three Omnibus texts mentioned above. We thought putting them together, all in one place, would be of great benefit to many. Callings are significant concerns for the Christian, particularly the young one still finding his way in life. The essays within this book are not a comprehensive list of career possibilities. For example, we haven't included homemaking, though this also is a high calling and surely worthy of esteem. They are a good representative list that we hope will inspire readers to think deeply—about the gifts God has given them, about the opportunities God has opened up to them.

Today, young people have as much freedom to pursue anything they wish as ever before—maybe more. We hope this book will serve to help them clarify their thinking about their pursuits or know a bit more
