Based on proven Singapore mathematics methodology, Dimensions Math 1B Textbook guides first-grade students through the second semester of mathematical concepts including length, numbers to 40, addition and subtraction within 40, fractions, and numbers to 100. This full-color, 192-page textbook develops mathematical thinking through a structured five-part lesson design: engaging chapter openers that connect to real-world scenarios, Think sections where students explore problems using multiple solution methods, Learn components that formalize concepts and definitions, Do practice for discussion and independent work, and Exercise sections that link to the companion workbook.

The program emphasizes part-whole relationships and circle diagrams throughout, helping students visualize mathematical concepts and develop flexible problem-solving strategies. Five character guides appear throughout the textbook to support student engagement. The companion workbook provides tiered practice with Basics, Practice, Challenge, and Check sections, allowing students to work at appropriate levels while building toward mastery. Periodic practice opportunities and two cumulative reviews reinforce learning throughout the semester.

This is a B-level book covering the second half of first grade.
