Product description
Recommended for high school or advanced upper middle school. This kit uses the power supply built in Part 1 - it contains no power supply. If you did not do Part 1, order our LED Scope: Power Supply Kit separately. Requires tool set purchased separately. Build an LED Array Oscilloscope while learning advanced electronics. An oscilloscope is an essential tool for designing or repairing electronic equipment and conducting scientific research. It allows high-speed electrical signals to be viewed, enabling engineers to "see" how electronic circuits function and collect sensor data. The LED Array Oscilloscope is presented like the story "Stone Soup" - as each module is built and tested, new features are suggested that improve functionality. This leads to building the next module until all features of a commercial oscilloscope are demonstrated. The main display uses an array of 240 LEDs operating at 5 volts, providing excellent practice for developing proficient soldering skills. The Signal Generator board from Part 1 provides test signals to demonstrate the scope's operation and show the need for new features built in following chapters. Visual results create exciting learning with immediate gratification.
