<p>This fully online, competency-based Biotechnology course introduces students to the foundational knowledge and laboratory skills used in the biotechnology field. Through interactive videos, virtual reality experiences, and applied lab simulations, students explore biotechnology career pathways, research methods, data analysis, laboratory safety, and proper equipment use.</p><p>Students examine key scientific topics including DNA structure and replication, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), DNA purification, and solution preparation. In a virtual lab environment, they practice using tools such as micropipettes, serological pipettes, and spectrophotometers while learning to prepare molar solutions and apply biotechnology concepts in practical ways.</p><p>Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn a digital badge in Biotechnology, gain valuable career-ready knowledge and lab-based skills, and strengthen their preparation for the Biotechnology Certification Exam.</p><p>This course includes 18 weeks of access to all course materials and resources.
