Product description

EXPLORATION EDUCATION'S STANDARD PHYSICAL SCIENCE (4th-6th grade)

Project-based: Students will immerse themselves in the world of physical science by building exciting projects at the onset of each section and then using those projects in the experiments. For example, in chapter one, students will build a race car, and then in chapters two to nine they will use the car to experiment with topics such as inertia, velocity, centripetal force, pulleys, pulley ratios and more.

All materials included: Everything needed for project completion is conveniently provided, including even the smallest essentials like paperclips. The only tools required—such as scissors, a glue gun, pencil, and spoon—are simple items students can readily supply.

Self-directed: Students take the reins of their education with a self-directed approach. Students will navigate the lessons and experiments independently, fostering a sense of autonomy and responsibility.

Course description: Using the interactive online textbook and hands-on lab activities, students will explore forces, machines, motion, energy, electricity, magnetism, sound, light, density, buoyancy, and fundamental chemistry concepts. Students will also delve into the concepts of matter, the periodic table, chemical bonds, reactions, mixtures and compounds. In addition, students gain a solid understanding of the scientific method.

Length of course: 36 weeks (one school year) — three lessons each week — 50 minutes/lesson
