Product description
Leif Erickson came from a long line of Viking seafarers who sailed the Atlantic, North Sea, Mediterranean, and Black Sea for trade, plunder, and settlement. As a young man, Leif sailed unaided from Greenland to Norway to meet King Olaf Tryggvesson. Later, learning of lands west of Greenland, he voyaged to explore this unknown territory. His saga of discovery and settlement in North America later convinced Columbus that the Atlantic could be crossed. Part of the original Landmark series, The Vikings tells the remarkable story of Leif Erickson's exciting adventures as a seafaring Viking.
