<p>Intrigued and yet slightly intimidated by poetry? This Poetry self-paced course takes you on a poetic journey through forms, styles, eras, and masters of the art of poetic expression. Learn how to better understand and appreciate poetry while also honing your skills as a poet who can become equipped to enter the Great Conversation. In-class analysis of great poems will guide exercises in mastering form, rhythm, and figurative expression. Projects and assignments will focus on developing your poetic communication ability and delight. </p><br><p>Minimum age of 14 on the first day of class. Successful completion of VSA Composition II or comparable course is strongly encouraged.</p>
