Product description
Financial Literacy is a unique course that uses mathematics to illustrate key principles of personal finance. The course also provides an introduction to financial accounting and business math. Upon the completion of Financial Literacy, students will be able to begin their young adult lives with confidence. They will be prepared to file their taxes, keep within their budgets and set financial goals to push their lives and careers forwards. They will also have a better understanding of what to expect as an adult when it comes to paying bills, obtaining a degree, buying their first vehicle or buying a home. This course has been designed as a high school math course. Part I: Foundations of Financial Literacy provides a math background to ensure success for all students in the course regardless of grade level. Part II: The Financial System provides an overview of how money moves in our world. Part III: Managing Your Finances gives students an idea of how to manage day-to-day finances, long-term debts and savings goals. Part IV: Applications of Financial Literacy uses financial math in the context of business. The final unit takes a deep dive into some of the larger financial decisions that young adults make.
