<p>The 5 W's Fiction and Nonfiction Binder teaches comprehension strategies to help students understand and remember important concepts from their reading. Use it to provide extra practice for your struggling students or your academic remediation program. Each passage is 110-145 words with comprehension questions and a cloze reading activity. The fiction section includes 40 humorous twists on fairy tales like, "Humpty Dumpty Sues Wall Builders." </p><p>Each worksheet in the fiction section teaches students to answer who, what, when, where, and why questions. 20 non-fiction passages are based on real news stories about animals. Each worksheet requires students to identify the main idea, expand vocabulary, and determine whether a statement is a fact or an opinion.
