<p>This fully online, self-paced Violin I course introduces students in grades 6-12 to the foundational skills of violin performance. Through guided instruction and regular practice, students learn proper posture, bowing techniques, finger placement, and introductory music reading skills while developing confidence with their instrument.</p><p>Students practice scales, exercises, and beginning-level melodies to build technical proficiency, coordination, and musical understanding. The course emphasizes proper technique, effective practice habits, and foundational musicianship skills.</p><p>By the end of the course, students will be able to perform beginning-level pieces and demonstrate an understanding of fundamental violin techniques and musicianship.</p><p>Parent Note: Students may benefit from assistance with posture, tuning, and instrument handling. Encouragement and support during practice sessions can help students establish strong habits and build confidence. Students who complete this course may continue their musical development in Violin II.</p><p>This is our Accredited Course version, which includes an official transcript and earned credit. This course is designed for independent learning and does not include teacher grading or instructional support.
