Product description
Third grade is filled with big transitions and new skills as students begin to move beyond the concrete and visual stages and into the exciting realm of the abstract. Students begin wrestling with many fundamental skills such as rounding, estimation, multiplication, and division. Students begin with place value, which lays the groundwork for rounding and estimation. They will be introduced to fractions, with an emphasis on comparing, ordering, and finding equivalent fractions. Students also study time, as well as shape, area, perimeter, and volume. The bar model is introduced as an extension of the already familiar number bond, and students will learn to use it as a problem-solving tool throughout the year.<br><br>This rigorous 3rd Grade curriculum is designed to be both comprehensive and flexible. Each subject is delivered through instructional videos and self-paced, asynchronous assignments, allowing students to progress at a pace that suits their individual learning style. Parents or guardians will assist scholars in completing assignments sequentially, ensuring mastery of each concept before moving forward. The course offers flexibility for families while maintaining high educational standards, promoting both independent learning and guided support where needed.
