<p><strong>EXPLORATION EDUCATION'S ELEMENTARY PHYSICAL SCIENCE (K-3rd grade)</strong></p><p><strong>Project-based: </strong>Students will immerse themselves in the world of physical science by building exciting projects at the onset of each section and then using those projects in the experiments. For example, in chapter one students will build a derby car and then in chapters two to nine they will use the car to experiment with topics such as friction, gravity, energy, speed, machines, and more.</p><p><strong>All materials included:</strong> Everything needed for project completion is conveniently provided, including even the smallest essentials like paperclips. The only tools required—such as scissors, pencil, spoon—are simple items students can readily supply.</p><p><strong>Self-directed: </strong>Students take the reins of their education with a self-directed approach. Students will navigate the lessons and experiments independently, fostering a sense of autonomy and responsibility.</p><p><strong>Course description:</strong> Using the interactive online textbook and hands-on activities, students will explore forces, machines, motion, magnetism, circuits, matter, sound and light. The hands-on nature of this curriculum not only gets students excited about the world around them, but also establishes a solid foundation for all future science courses.</p><p><strong>Length of course:</strong> 36 weeks (one school year) — one lesson each week — 35-45 minutes/lesson</p>
