The Continent Mat Bundle actively engages students in learning to identify the continents, name the oceans, and sort animals. The canvas Continent Mat uses classic Montessori color-coding for the continents to aid in identification. Corresponding three-part cards for the continents and oceans can be used for group lessons or individual work. There are 26 wooden animals that can be sorted on the mat; corresponding cards can be used for identification and have color-coded continents on the back as a control of error. Continent identification is reinforced as a child places a giraffe on Africa and names both the animal and the continent! The bundle also includes a wooden continent cube and a lidded wooden box for storage.
