The Backyard Biome Mat Bundle offers two fun ways to continue exploring the parts of a biome, with the Backyard Biome Mat and the Parts of the Biome Jars! The Backyard Biome Mat integrates grammar and parts of a biome study by using color-coded cards to label things and places on the mat, describe them with adjectives, and introduce them with articles. Verbs, prepositions, adverbs, and conjunctions follow to make exciting sentences. The included wooden arrows let you track how energy is transferred through the backyard biome. Then, head outside with the Parts of the Biome Jars to collect your own samples! Six glass jars, a carrying case, and veneer labels let you collect and classify your own parts of the biome for your classroom. There is a jar for each part: water, soil, air, plants, animals, and energy. The energy jar has a built-in solar panel and lightbulb that collects the Sun’s energy!
