<p>Levels Alpha through Zeta have established a mastery of elementary mathematical skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to include whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. The Math 6 Math-U-See Pre-Algebra self-paced course will expand these skills and begin to build understanding and mastery of negative numbers, exponents, and algebraic concepts. Topics include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of positive and negative numbers; understanding and simplifying exponents, order of operations and absolute value; evaluating radicals; identifying the least common multiple and greatest common factor; using the Pythagorean theorem to identify triangle attributes; understanding and converting Celsius and Fahrenheit; computing surface area and volume; adding and multiplying polynomials; and identifying rational and irrational numbers. </p><br><p>Minimum age of 11 and maximum age of 13 on the first day of class.
