<p>This fully online, self-paced course introduces students to local history through research, storytelling, and visual design. Students investigate the history of their town or community by exploring historical events, influential people, maps, photographs, and other primary and secondary sources. This course is available for students in grades K-12.</p><p>Throughout the course, students develop research, analysis, organization, and presentation skills while creating a visual timeline that illustrates the growth and development of their community over time. Students learn how to evaluate historical sources, identify significant events, and communicate historical information through visual storytelling.</p><p>By the end of the course, students will have created a completed visual timeline or historical presentation that documents and celebrates the history of their local community.</p><p>This is our Accredited Course with Mentor Teacher Support, which includes an official transcript and earned credit.
