Product description
Recommended for upper middle school and up. Requires tool set purchased separately. Part 1: Basic Electronics teaches the nature of electricity, electronic components, schematic reading, soldering techniques, using a Digital Multimeter, Ohm's law, semiconductor physics, op-amp circuits, and digital logic circuits. After basic theory, 12 hands-on chapters guide students through building and testing circuits. Ten teaching circuits progress from passive components through diodes, transistors, audio amplifiers, and integrated circuits. Kit includes: two printed circuit boards, power supply components, test leads, Signal Generator board with spare parts, piezo speaker, wall-mount transformer, and PDF instructions on CD. Skills from Part 1 prepare students to build the advanced LED Array Oscilloscope in Part 2.
