<p>This fully online, self-paced Cello course introduces students in grades 6-12 to the foundational skills of cello performance. Through guided instruction and regular practice, students learn proper posture, bowing techniques, finger placement, and introductory music reading skills while developing confidence with their instrument.</p><p>Students practice scales, exercises, and beginning-level melodies to build technical proficiency, coordination, and musical understanding. The course emphasizes proper technique, effective practice habits, and foundational musicianship skills.</p><p>By the end of the course, students will be able to perform beginning-level cello pieces and demonstrate the core skills needed for continued study and musical growth. This course represents Semester 1 of 1.</p><p>Parent Note: Students may benefit from assistance with posture, bow handling, and instrument tuning. Encouragement and supervision during practice sessions can help reinforce proper technique and build confidence.</p><p>This version of the course is designed for independent learning and does not include teacher grading or instructional support.
