Product description
This English II A is the first semester of this year-long course that integrates the analysis of a variety of classical, contemporary, and informational literature from across the world. Students will analyze literature of these various genres, comparing and contrasting authors’ use of rhetorical devices. Students will also practice with Greek and Latin roots of words and how to utilize those context skills while reading various texts. To practice and demonstrate the ability to write with a variety of different purposes, students will write persuasive, informative and narrative, research, and functional compositions while utilizing the writing process and the 6-Traits of Writing. These written pieces will at times incorporate research and be developed into more visual multimedia presentations. Students have 150 days from the course start date to complete the course.
