<p>Talkido is an interactive, screen-free educational platform designed to enhance language and social skills in children aged 2–12, particularly those with autism, speech delays, or developmental disorders. By integrating tactile play with personalized audio feedback, Talkido transforms everyday learning into an engaging experience. It is utilized by families, educators, and therapists to support communication development in various settings.</p><p> </p><p>Talkido users have experienced the following benefits:</p><p> </p><p>•Enhanced Vocabulary: instant improvement in vocabulary acquisition.</p><p>•Increased Social Interaction: 16 times more likely to initiate interactions.</p><p>•Improved Eye Contact: Five times more likely to make eye contact.</p><p>•Extended Attention Span: Exhibit twice the attention span during training sessions.</p><p> </p><p>These benefits contribute to building independence, reducing frustration, and strengthening social connections.</p><p> </p><p>Talkido was developed through collaboration with speech-language pathologists, engineers, and families of individuals with complex communication needs. Talkido’s design is informed by established augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) principles, and we partner with universities and therapy centers to pilot and evaluate the platform in real-world settings.</p><p> </p><p>At the core of Talkido is the Mio: a portable, rechargeable speaker with built-in NFC technology. Users can record personalized audio messages via the Talkido App or directly on the Mio. These recordings are then linked to physical cards or tags embedded with NFC chips. When a card or tagged object is tapped against the Mio, it plays the associated audio message, providing immediate auditory feedback. This system allows for customizable and interactive learning experiences, adaptable to various educational activities and therapy sessions.</p><p></p> <p>The Starter set includes the Mio, 10 DIY Tags, and 10 DIY Cards.</p>
