OptimaED Self-Paced 9th Grade Algebra 1 (Canvas LMS) | 12-month access | Starts 1st & 15th. Parent/guardian facilitated (no instructor). VR-enhanced (optional; VR not required). Florida standards-aligned. This course explores a wide range of algebraic concepts, including linear equations and inequalities, absolute value, systems, and linear, quadratic, and exponential functions, with an emphasis on comparing how these functions are related and how they differ. Students will apply algebraic reasoning to analyze functions and expressions while also developing foundational skills in statistics through data representation, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. Together, these topics prepare students for advanced algebra and future mathematics courses across academic, business, and STEM pathways. The course includes some honors-level lessons to extend student thinking and learning.
