<p>This fully online, competency-based Welding course provides students with a strong foundation in manufacturing processes, metal properties, and safe welding practices. Through immersive virtual reality experiences and interactive learning activities, students explore industry-standard techniques in oxyfuel cutting, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).</p><p>Students develop technical skills by practicing welding procedures, learning to interpret welding symbols, and reading detailed fabrication drawings. The course emphasizes safe equipment operation, precision, and the application of welding techniques that align with current industry standards.</p><p>Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn a digital badge in Welding, gain valuable work-related knowledge and practical skills, and strengthen their preparation for the Welding Certification Exam and future careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades.</p><p>This course includes 18 weeks of access to all course materials and resources.
