<p>This fully online, self-paced Drone Pilot course prepares students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Remote Pilot Certificate. Through interactive videos, virtual reality experiences, and hands-on learning activities, students explore the principles of aviation, drone operations, and safe flight practices.</p><p>Students investigate topics including weather and its effects on flight, aviation physics, emergency procedures, preflight inspections, radio communication, visual line of sight (VLOS) operations, sectional charts, aerial photography, and search and rescue applications. Immersive simulations provide opportunities to develop confidence and competence in real-world drone operations.</p><p>Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn a digital badge in Drones and strengthen their preparation for obtaining the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.</p><p>Please note that a drone is not included with this course.</p><p>This version of the course is designed for independent learning and does not include teacher grading or instructional support. Parents and guardians may participate by grading assignments, reviewing answer keys, and providing feedback and encouragement throughout the course.
