<p>This fully online, competency-based Carpentry course provides students with a strong foundation in essential carpentry knowledge and skills. Through immersive virtual reality experiences, interactive videos, and hands-on learning activities, students explore the use of common measuring tools, hand tools, and power equipment while completing practical construction projects.</p><p>Throughout the course, students investigate a variety of wood materials and their properties, develop an understanding of workplace and job site safety practices, and learn how to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings. Emphasis is placed on building both technical proficiency and industry-relevant problem-solving skills.</p><p>Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn a digital badge in Carpentry, gain valuable career-ready knowledge and practical experience, and strengthen their preparation for the Carpentry Certification Exam and future opportunities in the skilled trades.</p><p>This course includes 18 weeks of access to all course materials and resources.
