<p><b>AP Biology</b></p> <p>In AP Biology, students are provided with a foundation for developing an understanding of biological concepts through scientific inquiry, investigations, interactive experiences, higher-order thinking, real-world applications, writing analytical essays, statistical analysis, and interpreting and collecting data. The key big ideas of the AP Biology course are system interactions, evolution, energetics, information storage, and transmission. Students participate in a variety of engaging activities that enhance their mastery of biology concepts. Students also examine the biblical view of the biological concepts presented and note major differences between secular and Christian worldviews on the various topics presented.</p> <p>This course is designed to provide a college-level experience and prepare students for the AP exam. Students must take the AP exam in order to receive AP credit.</p> <p><i>This course is considered a full-year course. This book is required: Lisa Urry, Michael Cain, Steven Wasserman, and Peter Minor sky. Campbell Biology in Focus, 3rd Edition AP? Edition for Advanced Placement. Recommended grade level: 11th-12th grade. Successful completion of Biology, Chemistry, and Algebra 1 are recommended.</i></p>
