Product description

Based on Singapore math methodology, this Pre-Kindergarten textbook develops mathematical concepts through a concrete-pictorial-abstract progression suited to four- and five-year-olds. Five character friends guide students through 144 color pages introducing foundational concepts including ordinal numbers, comparative measurement (tallest/shortest, longest/shortest), and counting through 10. Lessons use simple, direct language and familiar imagery—students color, circle, and match objects while building number sense and mathematical reasoning.

Each chapter opens with an engaging scenario that introduces new concepts while reviewing previous skills. Lessons progress from exploration and play to focused skill practice, with pencil icons linking to corresponding exercises in the companion workbook (sold separately). Chapter reviews provide ongoing reinforcement of concepts and skills.

This is textbook A, covering the first half of the Pre-K year. Textbook B (sold separately) continues the curriculum for the second half. The teacher's guide, available separately, contains answer keys and detailed instructional support.
