<p>This fully online, self-paced college-level course surveys the political, social, economic, military, and cultural development of the United States from Reconstruction to the present day. Students examine major events, historical movements, influential individuals, and significant changes that have shaped modern America.</p><p>Students will develop historical thinking skills through the analysis of primary and secondary sources, historical research, and evaluation of multiple perspectives. Topics may include industrialization, immigration, reform movements, world wars, the Cold War, civil rights, globalization, and contemporary America.</p><p>This course emphasizes critical thinking, research skills, historical interpretation, and effective written communication while providing students with a strong foundation in American history.
