<p>OnFire Academy edition: 11th Grade Language Arts is a 100% online and flexibly paced full-year course covering Semesters 1 and 2. Students study American literature while building skills in reading literature, reading nonfiction, writing, and speaking and listening aligned to Common Core standards. Instruction emphasizes citing textual evidence, character analysis, theme and main idea identification, and interpretation of structure and point of view. Writing assignments include argument, informative/explanatory, and narrative genres. Course activities include discussions, digital media projects, and public speaking practice. Sparky, the AI tutor, offers personalized guidance, answers questions, and provides feedback. This version is for independent learning and is not teacher-supported or graded; parents can grade assignments, view answer keys, and give feedback. Accredited options are available, including an official transcript or a Mentor Teacher option that adds a dedicated teacher for grading, feedback, and ongoing support.</p>
