OptimaED Self-Paced 6th Grade Math (Canvas LMS) | 12-month access | Starts 1st & 15th. Parent/guardian facilitated (no instructor). VR-enhanced (optional; VR not required). Florida standards-aligned. This course builds a strong foundation for algebra by deepening understanding of fractions, decimals, integers, ratios, and basic equations, while introducing variables, linear relationships, and the coordinate plane beyond the first quadrant. Students will also expand their skills in statistics through data representation and explore geometry concepts such as area, volume, and surface area of three-dimensional shapes. Through real-world applications, the course prepares students for 7th-grade math, Pre-Algebra, and future studies in Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics.
