<p><b>Earth Space Science Honors Half-Year</b></p> <p>Earth Space Science is a laboratory course that focuses on the study of space, geologic structures and forces, the waters on our planet, and atmospheric forces that shape our world as it is sustained by God. Students explore the universe to discover the magnificent design of our marvelous Creator and the wonders and beauty of the earth. Through experimentation and investigation, students explore the earth systems including the geosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, atmosphere, and the carbon cycle. Students engage in interactive experiences, higher-order thinking, collaborative projects, and real-world applications, along with a variety of assessments, as they discover how to rejoice in the wonders of God and bring glory to Him. Upon completion of the course, students have a clear understanding of the dynamic forces at work in the world around them, enabling them to become better caretakers of our planet.</p> <p><i>This course can be either the first half or second half of the honors full-year course. This course contains lab activities. Required lab materials are common household items, and the list is available in the course. Recommended grade level: 9th-10th grade.</i></p>
