<p>This fully online, competency-based Nursing Assistant course prepares students with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to provide patient care in a variety of healthcare settings. Through interactive videos, virtual reality experiences, and applied learning activities, students develop an understanding of patient care, safety, and professional responsibilities.</p><p>Throughout the course, students explore topics including infection control, personal care, mental health considerations, legal and ethical responsibilities, and patient communication. Using virtual reality simulations, students practice obtaining and recording vital signs, identifying basic anatomical structures, assisting with mobility and wheelchair use, and performing patient care procedures such as modified bed baths.</p><p>Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn a digital badge as a Nursing Assistant, gain valuable healthcare knowledge and hands-on skills, and strengthen their preparation for certification and future opportunities in the healthcare field.</p><p>This course includes 18 weeks of access to all course materials and resources.
