<p>In this PreAlgebra course students will develop the skills and understanding to prepare them for Algebra 1. They will practice skills using self-corrected exercise sets in preparation for chapter tests that gauge their grasp of the material. Activities provide varied opportunities to explore applications of the lesson concepts. Topics include the following: Rounding and estimating Exponents and order of operations Simplifying algebraic expressions Factoring Least common denominator and equivalent fractions Ratios and proportions Congruent and similar triangles Percents decimals and fractions Pictographs bar graphs histograms line graphs and circle graphs Coordinate systems and paired data Graphing linear equations in two variables Probability Lines angles perimeter area volume weight and mass Conversions between the U.S. and metric systems and Polynomials.</p><p>This course is organized into 36 lessons that correspond with the 10 chapters in the textbook.</p><p>While the answer key is in the back of the textbook the textbook is also accompanied by an online resource called MyLab Math that contains many helpful tools such as instructional videos chapter test prep videos a detailed solution manual and the digital textbook which can be downloaded to a device and viewed offline with the Pearson App. MyLab Math will soon be available for individual purchase for students using the course independently at the publisher's website (This access is not included with the bookstore textbook or coursebook purchase). </p><p><strong>W</strong><strong>hat's Included: </strong>Oak Meadow Coursebook and Teacher Manual <em>Prealgebra 9e </em>by Elayn Martin-Gay (Pearson 2024)</p><p><strong>Additional Materials Recommended: </strong>MyLab Math and a compass and protractor set</p>
