<p>Available through OnFire Academy: 10th Grade Language Arts - Semester 1 is a 100% online and flexibly paced, accredited course with mentor teacher guidance. Learners explore world literature while building skills in reading literature, reading nonfiction, writing, and speaking and listening aligned to Common Core standards. Instruction emphasizes citing textual evidence, character analysis, theme and main idea identification, vocabulary, and text structure and point of view. Writing assignments cover argument, informative/explanatory, and narrative genres. Students participate in discussions, create presentations, and use digital media to demonstrate learning. A dedicated mentor teacher provides grading, feedback, and ongoing support, and the course awards an official transcript and completed credit.</p>
