<p><b>AP English Literature and Composition </b></p> <p>Read and analyze imaginative literature from various periods and disciplines while sharpening your understanding of how a work's style, figurative language, theme, and other literary elements contribute to its meaning and cultural significance. Students sample a variety of literary genres from a wide selection of renowned authors, viewing them with a critical eye and analyzing them against the truth of God's Word. This course fulfills one required English credit for high school graduation.</p> <p>This course is designed to provide a college-level experience and prepare students for the AP exam. Students must take the AP Exam in order to receive AP credit.</p> <p><i>This course is considered a full-year course. An extensive list of books are required for completion of the course and the MLA Handbook.</i></p>
