Product description
This laboratory-based high school biology course provides college-bound students with an introduction to how living organisms are designed, how they interact with one another, and their physical environment. Students learn biological classification, chemical processes of life, RNA and DNA structures, and cellular designs. The course covers photosynthesis, cellular respiration, reproduction, and biotechnology, then surveys archaea, bacteria, protists, fungi, invertebrates, vertebrates, and plants. Students explore biogeochemical cycles, ecosystems, and see life as the result of design with organisms' ability to adapt, while learning problems associated with modern evolutionary synthesis.
